The charm of Naosuke's life and cultural accomplishments will be exhibited using the 3D Theater and panel display. Families with young children should enjoy visiting this exhibition and understand the life of Ii Naosuke well..
There is a special display to introduce the props, clothing, and photo stills from the movie produced last year, “Zakuro Zaka no Adauchi], Vegenance on the Zakurozaka Slope”. In addition the images and panel display derived from the past TV dramas and movies depict Ii Naosuke as a human being. Naosuke's love of Japanese culture is visibly presented so that it will be meaningful to foreigners too.
There will be an outdoor screening of NHK's long-running historical drama: Hana no Shougai.
Collecting stamps around the area of Ginza Street with signs of the successive lords.
In order to truly pack a punch, young performers are invited to enact a stage combat show. A Gourmet Ōmi Beef Stall will also be open.
Picture books dedicated to Ii Naosuke's achievements and character (1,000 books) will be distributed among libraries, preschools and elementary schools in Hikone City along with reading sessions for those children.

Respecting Naosuke’s adration for tea ceremony and flower arrangement, there will be a tea ceremony and flower arrangement exhibition.
As a Hikone Castle's Evening Event, the Castle will be open for tours during the night only on this day.
Throughout Inae and around Mt. Kojin a walking rally event will be held.
To commemorate Naosuke's 200th birthday YABUSAME (Horseback archery) will be held with a rider in warrior clothes.
In order to make the 200th Celebration more enjoyable high school student groups, "Hikone Kōdōkan Academy Mystery Club" will introduce the speciality of Hikone in the way of “riddle” , by images, and on stage.
Panel Display shows that Ii Naosuke passed his adolescence here, dedicated to being both a good worrior and a good scholar.
